Welcome to Lethbridge is a cinematic documentary journey produced by Dana Srudios and supported by the Canada Council for the Arts honouring more than 100 years of courageous women, advocates, and community builders connected to the Lethbridge YWCA. Through deeply personal stories, the film explores themes of refuge, justice, dignity, and belonging as foundational to community transformation.
For generations, the Lethbridge YWCA has been a lifeline for women and children facing gender-based violence, housing insecurity roles it continues to play today. This documentary brings to life a rarely-told Canadian story that interweaves women’s history, civic leadership, and social change.
